One of my favourite stories was when Dad was riding his motorbike and he heard a clunk. He stopped and found a piece of metal in the road. Assuming it had fallen off the bike he took it home to Grandad to see if he could fix. Grandad took the piece of metal, looked at it, looked at Dad and said "Terence, you've ridden over a door handle"!
