Terry's generosity and braveness

Created by Tim 8 years ago
My 30-year old niece developed multiple cancers, but like Terry, she refused to let it get her down while facing up to the reality of what it meant. She died in 2011, and I later did a 52-milesponsored London Bikeathon in her memory, for cancer and leukaemia. I raised nearly £1,000, and Terry was the most generous donor by far.

Like everyone else. I was devastated when he told me his news. I was hugely impressed throughout his illness by his courage and determination to live as full a life as possible, typified by his visit to Vegas, of which he was absolutely ecstatic. He also went to some obscure football match in Glasgow - Celtic? Rangers? and of course rode in the support van for the Lands End to John O'Groats bike ride.

He became a great inspiration to me, and I hope and pray he is truly at peace now.

In deep sadness, and with condolences to all his family,
